Following his retirement from the British Touring Car Championship, former British Touring Car driver and team manager Simon Belcher made a one off charity return to his past in jet sport racing at Doncaster in 2016. Simon raised over £5000 for Cancer Research and following that event, he realised a passion for jet sport racing had been rekindled. In 2017 and 2018, Simon made a return to selected events that fitted around his touring car commitments managing HMS Racing's entry Rob Austin. In 2018, Simon won the European Championship in Belgium (to the shock of many) and this resulted in a full season return in 2019 racing in the British, Belgium, European and World Championships.
